Salisbury is always supplying what the customer wants... NFPA 70E requires a double layer switch hood with a minimum ATPV rating of 8 cal/cm2 to meet HRC2* requirements. Most suppliers recommend their current HRC3 or HRC4 hoods to meet this requirement.

Salisbury’s NEW FH20BL/2 PRO-HOODTM is the only arc flash protective hood designed specifically for HRC 2* in the industry. The new hood exceeds HRC2* ATPV requirements of 8cal/cm2 with a 21.8cal/cm2 ATPV rating.

Lighter Weight
The new PRO-HOOD has an ATPV rating of 21 cal/cm2 and is 15% lighter than our current 20 cal/cm2 FH20BL PRO-HOOD. The NEW FH20BL/2 is made up of 2 layers of 5.5 oz./yd2 material creating a lighter weight option to the current FH20BL and meets bothe HRC2 and HRC2* requirements.

Highest VLT Available in the Industry
The NEW FH20BL/2 also includes an AS1000 Series PRO-SHIELDTM creating a 70% visual light transmision, the highest available today. This VLT is practically clear, which makes working safely easy.
