Features curved jaws for clean shearing cuts (no flattening or sharp edges) on ACSR to 954 kcmil and copper to 500 kcmil. The 20,000 lbs PSI burst, nylon-reinforced hose is on the outside of the handle
for easy maintenance. The hydraulic pump is built into the lower 18" of the handle. A valve on the pump must be closed before the cut is made, and then opened to allow the jaws to open. Other lengths available. Bag not included. Assembled unit is tested at 100 kV per foot for 5 minutes per ASTM F711.


CAUTION: Use only hydraulic oil having a dielectric strength of 25+ kV (per ASTM D877) when the tool needs servicing. Failure to follow these instructions could result in personal injury or death.

Hydraulic ACSR Cutter

Live Line Lever Cutters

Compound shear cutter made from a heat-treated alloy steel. The stationary handle is 1 1/2" (3.8 cm) in diameter and the operating handle is 1" (2.5 cm) in diameter. For cutting tie wires, jumper taps and conductors up to 2/0. Larger wires should be cut with ACSR lever cutters.

Not for use on ACSR.
